Offense Specific Treatment
& Evaluations
We specialize in providing individualized offense specific treatment to juveniles and adults in the Denver metropolitan area.
Our Philosophy
We provide individualized treatment based on risk, need, and responsivity. We work best with individuals who are motivated to change and willing to address their own trauma, triggers, and mental health symptoms. We stress the importance of sexual wellness, comprehensive sexual education, and healthy relationships. We focus on restorative justice to ensure our clients understand the importance of recognizing and repairing harm. We collaborate with other members of the client's team.
Individual Offense Specific Treatment, $85 per session (the initial intake is $150)
What we focus on in individual therapy: trauma and victimization, integrating group topics on a deeper level, attachment, and pro-social living skills. We offer the following modalities: EMDR, IFS, Neurofeedback, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a researched, effective therapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders. EMDR therapy does not require talking in detail about the distressing issue or completing homework between sessions. EMDR therapy allows the brain to resume its natural healing process and is designed to resolve unprocessed traumatic memories in the brain. This therapy may be used within a standard talking therapy, as an adjunctive therapy with a separate therapist, or as a treatment by itself.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) was developed by psychologist Richard Schwartz and is an approach to therapy that addresses sub-personalities within each person’s mental system. One’s core Self is the concept that describes the whole person that is at the core of each of us. IFS focuses on healing the wounded parts and restoring mental balance and harmony by changing the dynamics that create discord among the sub-personalities and the Self.
-
Neurofeedback provides immediate feedback from a computer-based program that assesses a client’s brainwave activity. IASIS Micro Current Neurofeedback, or MCN, is a safe, revolutionary, technology that uses brain wave feedback to help the brain reboot itself. Due to environmental factors, stress, sickness or injuries, the brain can become unbalanced and brain waves can become fixed in patterns that produce brain-related disorders.
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) addresses inaccurate or negative thinking so clients can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. Using this modality, we teach clients cognitive distortions, core beliefs, and thinking errors that impact our feelings, behaviors, and relationships, so they can adjust their thinking and therefore their feelings and behaviors.
We accept funding from probation for individual sessions. Please discuss voucher options with your supervising officer.

Group Offense Specific Treatment, $70 per session
Group therapy allows individuals to connect and build trust, identify and share feelings, practice communication and coping skills, develop insight, find encouragement and ask for help, and show empathy in a safe setting.
-
Topics we cover in group therapy include: acceptance of responsibility; identification of precursors of inappropriate, unhealthy, illegal, and/or acting out behavior; cognitive distortions; increasing awareness of feelings and emotion regulation; healthy relationships, including breaking unhealthy patterns, establishing healthy communication skills, and demonstrating use of social skills; comprehensive sexual education; and victim impact and empathy.
We accept funding from probation for group sessions. Please discuss voucher options with your supervising officer.

Family Therapy/Couples Sessions, $100 per session
Family and couples work can enhance communication, intimacy, assertiveness, awareness, and conflict resolution. Involvement of family member and significant others increases support and safety.

Offense Specific Evaluations (OSE) for Juveniles and Adults, $2,500
These are comprehensive evaluations that comply with the SOMB Standards and Guidelines. The purpose of these reports is to identify problematic sexual behavior, the impact of trauma (if applicable), mental health symptoms, risk, protective factors, and treatment recommendations. We utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed lens and create a safe place for clients to tell their story.
*We require a deposit to schedule an OSE.
We accept funding from probation, Alternate Defense Council (ADC), the Public Defender's office for OSEs, and Jefferson County Department of Human Services (DHS).

Child Contact Screen (CCS), $750 (broken up into 5 payments)
This occurs after an OSE to determine if a client can have contact with their own minor children, and if so, what type of contact is recommended. This process requires an OSE to be completed first and includes several parts: 1) A phone screen to determine eligibility, 2) An initial session to gather information, 3) A second session to review sex history, 4) A polygraph, and 5) A follow-up interview and interviews with collateral contacts.

The LOOK Assessment of Sexual Interest, $250
The LOOK is a non-invasive objective measure of sexual interest. Results provide useful clinical/evaluative information both about healthy and non-healthy sexual interest.
Approved Supervisor/Informed Supervisor Training, starting at $100/hour
Approved Supervisors are adults who have been approved by the client's Community Supervision Team (CST) to supervise contact between a client and a specified minor, victim, or vulnerable person.
Informed Supervisors shall be identified by the juvenile's Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), and it is best practice for a juvenile who has committed a sexual offense to have informed supervision. Informed supervision is the ongoing, individualized, daily supervision of a juvenile by a qualified adult.

Case/File Review, $150/hour
We have had an increase in requests to review cases/files. We can put together a report analyzing a case, with clinical opinions and research citations as needed.
Please call our main number to provide a brief description of the case so we can determine whether or not we can review the case.

Expert Testimony, $1,000 retainer
We are able to provide expert testimony in certain cases.
Please call our main number to discuss potential testimony. We require a retainer, from which we draw for research, consultation, and court appearances.
